Constant-tension spring band that keeps sealing as the hose relaxes.
A spring clamp stores energy in the band itself. As the hose takes a compression set or expands with temperature, the band keeps pulling, so clamping force stays close to constant over the life of the joint. That is why OEMs specify them on coolant and fuel lines that see thermal cycling.
Made from 65Mn spring steel or 304 stainless, with 5 mm to 15 mm band width and 8 mm to 120 mm nominal diameter. Ear height is set to your crimping tool.
